The F.R.I.E.N.D.S Tag

Hello loves!

Today I am bringing you the F.R.I.E.N.D.S book tag created by An Average Lifehttps://anaveragelife.org/2018/09/16/the-friends-book-tag/, which I found thanks to the Write Reads as this was post was recently featured as the Blog of the Day.

I love F.R.I.E.N.D.S and am actually due a rewatch soon so I thought that this tag would be perfect to do on my blog, I hope you enjoy my answers!

Questions

Monica: a book based on a game or competition

Could I pick any other book other than the Hunger Games?

I absolutely love this book series and I also love the movies too! I actually need to rewatch the movies soon because I haven’t seen them in a while, and maybe reread the books again because they just, slightly worryingly, bring me quite a lot of comfort.

Rachel: a book you read for the hype

There have been so many of these haha, nut most recently The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

This book was absolutely amazing and I loved it so much! In fact, I actually read it in just a couple of hours as I just sped through it so quickly as it was just so brilliantly written.

Ross: a science fiction book

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing, Hank Green.

I read this book a while ago and just absolutely adored it! It was so much fun and I loved the whole sci-fi aspect of it as well as the puzzle solving aspect of it and I desperately want to read the sequel soon.

Chandler: a book that made you laugh out loud

Red, White and Royal Blue, Casey McQuiston.

This book was just so damn funny! I was howling with laughter at the karaoke scene and just generally throughout the entire book. I just loved it so much!

Joey: a scary book you’d keep in the freezer

The Woman in Black, Susan Hill.

This book is so scary man and that is all I am going to say about it.

V is for Encyclopedia: as an adult, have you read any books with words you had to look up to understand?

No! I can either guess what a word means fro context or I know it already.

Phoebe: a book with a spiritual or supernatural theme?

Changeling, Matt Wesolowski.

Most of the Six Stories have some sort of supernatural thing going on, of course it is mostly explained rationally but this book had a much more supernatural theme than the others.

The Boycott: are there any authors, booksellers of publishers you refuse to support.

JKR. Enough said, and probably a load more that I cannot think of right now.

Janice: a book with an “OH MY GOD” twist

All of Karen M.McManus’s books but definitely Two Can Keep A Secret!

That last line was so incredible and really just made the whole book even more amazing than it already was.

Emily: a British classic

Any guesses what this could be??

Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen.

I just love this book so much and I always manage to find a way to get it into my tags lol.

Gunther: a book nobody seems to be talking about

The Harm Tree, Rose Edwards.

This book was so good and I absolutely adored it and I don’r hear anyone else talking about it which is a crying shame because it is absolutely amazing.

Carol and Susan: an LGBTQ+ book or author

Heartstopper, Alice Oseman.

This was just the first LGBTQ+ book that came to mind, even though I read a bunch and have so many on my shelves at home. I cannot wait to continue the rest of the Heartstopper series, I actually plan to read volumes 2 this month.

Eddie: a book or character with intense/stalker vibes

OK so we are going to go with Tiffy’s boyfriend in The Flat Share.

That man is intense and I am so glad that in true romcom style Tiffy realised he wasn’t the right man for her and dumped him.

Mike: a slow burning book OR romance novel

The Meeting Point, Olivia Lara.

This book is such a brilliant romance novel and it is also a slow burn because the two don’t get together until the very last chapter, even though it is so obvious that they like each other.

Richard: a book that left you feeling accomplished or better educated

SPQR, Mary Beard.

This book made me feel accomplished because I knew quite a lot of the core information already and I also felt better educated after I read it because it taught me some new information.

Bonus!! Which F.R.I.E.N.D.S character do you most identify with?

I feel like I am most like Ross. I love history, want to work in a museum and am a massive need. I also feel like I am a bit like Chandler too.

If any of you guys watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S tell me what character you think I am most like in the comments.
