Hello loves!

I am so late in doing this tag, but I figured that I need to do this now or it would need get done. Firstly, I would like to thank Hannah from Hannah’s Bookshelf for tagging me in this and again I’m so sorry that it took me so long to get around to answering these questions it has been a little but frantic.

I guess without further ado we shall get right into the tag!

PART ONE: THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR!

Name a book that you were really excited for.

North Child, by Edith Pattou.

This book is my friend Lily’s favourite book and so when I gifted her a new copy for her birthday last year we agreed to buddy read it. She re-read it and I red it for the first time and I was so hyped to do so because it was Lily’s favourite book and she loved it so much and it did not dissapoint (unlike 2020).

I do have a review for this on here if you want to go and read my gush about it for a little bit.

Name a book that started out really well.

I’m going to say that White Trash Warlock, by David R.Slayton, had an incredible beginning and of course it only got better as the book went on.

I read this recently for a blogpost and absolutely adored it, my review is up fi you want to go and check it out.

PART TWO: THE WORLD GOES ON HOLD

Name a book with an unexpected plot twist.

The Cousins, by Karen M.McManus.

Another blog tour book that I read and have now become a Karen M.McManus fan because her writing is incredible. I did not see this plot twist coming and it had me shook but of course that didn’t stop me.

Like the other blog tours, my review can be read on my blog.

Name a book where you felt like nothing happened.

Conversations with Friends, by Sally Rooney.

I didn’t really like this book and I know that it is character focused and not about plot but it just felt like it wasn’t going anywhere. Especially because the main character started where she ended off and it just felt like the whole book had been futile.

Name a book where two main characters were separated.

The Doll Factory, by Elizabeth Macneal.

Rose (I think haha) was separated from a lot of people at various times throughout this book so it’s only right that I choose this wonderful book.

PART THREE: THE WORLD TRIES TO REOPEN (AND BEGINS A SECOND WORLD OF THE PANDEMIC)

Name a book in which the characters made a bad decision.

There are so many of these lol, but the one that immediately comes to mind is The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V.E.Schwab.

I mean Addie made a very questionable choice when she sold her soul to the devil without making it clear exactly what she wanted and of course she ended up being cursed so that no one remembered her and she could leave no mark on the world. And while I loved this book, I couldn’t deny that Addie was incredibly stupid at times.

Name a book with an impatient/overly eager character.

The Wall, by Gautam Bhatia.

The main character Mithila is very impatient throughout the entire book and it leads to her making some questionable choices and leaving people behind as she chases her dream of going beyond the wall that marks the boundary of Sumer, which is where she lives.

PART FOUR: THE WORLD ADJUSTS (NOT SURE IF THIS EVER HAPPENED BUT OK)!

Name a book where a character’s goals change midway.

I wasn’t sure about what to put for this question but I’m going to put down Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen because Lizzie changes her mind not really half way but close to halfway and Darcy definitely changes around halfway as he realises that he is in love with Lizzie.

You guys know how much I love this book so I will stop talking about it for today.

PART FIVE: THE END AND LOOKING FORWARDS!

Name a book whose sequel you really anticipated/are anticipating.

Ship of Shadows by Maria Kuzniar.

Another book that you guys have heard me shout about on here, but omg I cannot wait for this sequel to come out in June because I need to get back on board the Ship of Shadows and reunite with my favourite female pirates and see where their new adventure takes them.

Name a book whose sequel was better than the original.

I have not read many sequels recently and so sadly I cannot answer this question…

Name a book that you read just to finish it.

I think that Herai, by Arron D Key because I just didn’t really like this book looking back on it.
