Questions

What is your most anticipated read for 2021?

Ship of Shadows: Secrets of the Stars, by Maria Kuzniar.

You guys know how much I love the first book, so if you guys don’t think that I am excited for the second instalment to come out then you guys clearly don’t know me by now.

What is a genre that you most want to try?

Thriller!

I’ve been getting into more murder mystery type books and so I think that this would be an interesting extensions of that.

Which do you prefer: a book that makes you laugh or a book that makes you cry?

Cry! I know that that sounds strange but if a book makes me cry then It’s a good book. Not many books make me cry so it an author can make me cry then it’s pretty much guaranteed to get five stars.

Where is your favourite place to read?

My bed.

I know that it is cliche but I love to read in my bed, its so warm and comfy.

If you were to write your own novel, what genre would it be?

I actually am writing a novel for NaNoWriMo! It’s a fantasy quest novel starring an introverted woman and a missing crown.

What is the best book that you have read in 2020?

Ship of Shadows, by Maria Kuzniar.

Yet again, you should know the by now so no more comments here.

What is your favourite thing about being a book blogger?

The community!

Everyone that I have met here is so nice and I love having bookish friends that I can’t talk about books with.

What character do you think embodies your personality?

I actually did that quiz thing and I got Pam Beasly from the Office and Georgiana Darcy as well as some similar characters. You guys can make some assumptions based of this lol.

Do you watch BookTube? If so, who is your favourite BookTuber?

I do! My two favourites are Lily, A Home for the Lost, and Maddie, Book Browsing Blog. Go check them out guys.

If you were to run your own book subscription (think OwlCrate, Illumicrate), what would be the theme? What books/items would you feature?

My box would be called StarCrate and it would feature both MG and YA fantasy books, filled with bookish goodies like candles and bookmarks. Perhaps a blanket and enamel pins?

Surprise! You’ve inherited an adorable bookstore. What are you naming it?

This is literally my dream! I would call it Shelves of Starlight of course, and it would be wonderful. There would be a little cafe on one of the floors and free wifi and just shelves and shelves of books decorated with fairy lights at all hours of the day. It would be the best darned indie bookshop ever.

My questions!

  1. What is the book that you most want to read before the end of the year?
  2. What is your go to genre for holiday reads?
  3. Are you planning in reading any seasonal books this Christmas?
  4. If you were to design your ideal library what would it look like? Picture inspiration welcome of course.
  5. If you had to only read one genre for the rest of you life what would it be and why?
  6. What book do you anticipate will be among your favourites next year?
  7. Do you like to read a book before watching the movie adaptation?
  8. On that note, what is your favourite adaptation of a book or series?
  9. Congrats! You have suddenly been given the funding to open up a museum, what do you put in it?
  10. What is your favourite Christmas/holiday tradition?
  11. What is your favourite time of day to read?
