Another tag for you lovely people today, this time I was tagged by the incredible Hannah over at Hannah’s bookshelf. So please make sure to go and check out her post as well as the original post over at The Scarlet Reader.
I know that this is slightly late in regards to Halloween, but better late than never right?
As far as I’m aware, there aren’t any set rules so I might as well get straight into it!!
Name a book with a number in the title.
13 minutes, by Sarah Pinborough.
I read this book a long time ago and remember absolutely loving it! It was a great thriller/mystery book and I loved all the twists that were in it. Apart from that, sadly I cannot think of much else to say about this book.
Name a book with a psychic.
The Immortalists, by Chloe Benjamin.
This book was wild from my memory and the main basis of the plot was that these four children go and visit a psychic and find out the date that they are going to die. The rest of the book then follows these children as they grow up and deal with the effects of that visit to the psychic.
I really enjoyed this book when I read it and I might actually be due a reread of it soon!
Name a book with witches.
The Witches, by Roald Dahl.
Pretty self explanatory right? I am actually very excited for the new film with Anne Hathaway as the head witch/grand witch and looking like good representation too!!
Name a book with vampires.
Twilight, by Stephanie Meyer.
Again, I believe that no further explanation it need yet again.
Name a book with werewolves or shapeshifters.
Vulpini, by Meg Pelliccio.
So this is a book that I haven’t read yet, I was kindly sent a copy by the author in exchange for a review and exciting it contains both shapeshifters and werewolves. I am actually very excited to read it.
Name a tragic book.
The Book Thief, by Marcus Zusak.
Oh boy, this book destroyed me. If you’ve seen my review (available here) then you will know that I weeped at the ending of this book and was emotionally damaged. Just, even thinking about this book makes me sad lol.
Name a ‘dark’ book.
The Doll Factory, by Elizabeth Macneal.
I’ve just finished this and while it is not dark the whole way through it has some incredibly dark and creepy elements. My review will be up for my next post so keep your eyes peeled for that!
Name a book you can’t live without.
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.
Again, do you think that this needs an explanation. If you’ve been around here for long enough then you will 100% know how much love I hold for this incredible book. It’s just so perfect and the story is wonderful and I’m gushing now so I’m going to stop talking about it.
Name a book with a black or blue cover.
The Starless Sea, by Erin Morgenstern.
You guys know that this book is gorgeous right? If not then go and look it up because you will not be disappointed. I bought this book recently and it is simply stunning.
