Liebster Award

Hello there!

I have another fun tag/award today, for which I was tagged by the lovely Becky over at Crook’s Books so a massive thank you to her and a note to you guys to go and check out her wonderfully blog as well.

Before I get into it the lovely set of questions asked of me by the gorgeous Becky I thought I would give you guys another little life update. University has pretty much got back into full swing now and I have some I’m person tutorials this week, so I will let you all know how that goes when I have done a couple more of them.

Let’s do it!!

  1. Thank the blogger who nominated you and give a link to their blog
  2. Answer the 11 questions asked of you
  3. Nominate 11 bloggers
  4. Ask your nominees 11 questions
  5. Notify your nominees once you have uploaded your post

What has been your favourite read of 2020 so far?

Hmmm …

This is a tough question because I have read a lot of good books and have had quite a few 5 star reads. But I’ll probably have to go for The Ship of Shadows, Maria Kuzniar

I mean, you guys should know by now that I love this book so much and have said so on Instagram, twitter as well as here. It also helped me grow my instagram and meet some lovely people online who are so supportive and gorgeous. Hopefully some day I will meet them in real person for fun bookish activities.

Basically, I love this pirate MG with all of my heart hence why I have made it my favourite read for this question.

My review for the blog tour can be found…here.

What got you involved in blogging in the first place?

My bookstagram.

I started my bookstagram just under a year before I started blogging, and I wanted to branch out and write reviews and my thoughts down somewhere. Lockdown helped as well because I wanted to find something else to fill my hours with instead of sitting in my room watching Netflix all day. I thought it would be fun and I was proved right.

My bookstagram is liked down below if you want to give me a follow.

If you could move to a literary world which would it be and why?

Any literary world?

Well, I think that I would choose Middle Earth because it is wonderful and magical and I would love to go and live with the elves either in Rivendell or the forest. I would just sit around and learn to shoot a bow and arrow and plait hair, it would be so much fun.

Maybe I would even end up going on an adventure with my elven friends.

What is your favourite kind of blog post to write?

I love doing tags!

I think that they’re a great way to get to know bloggers and I love answering all the fun questions whether I’m talking about books or myself.

What is one book/series that you’re constantly recommending?

Ok, so I recommend quite a few on rotation so I’m just going to put all of them down.

Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen

The Book Thief, Marcus Zusak

Percy Jackson series

I have a review for The Book Thief here if you would like to read my thoughts on it :).

Are there any literary tropes that you love/hate?

I always love a good enemies to lovers plot line, I mean hate turning to love and the simmering tension, chef’s kiss.

And there aren’t any that I hate, I’m fairly easy to please story wise.

Do you snack whilst reading? And if so, what is your go to threat?

I don’t snack while reading but if I did it would be biscuits or something else that’s sweet.

I have a massively sweet tooth so anything sugary is always a good shout if you’re looking to feed me something.

Do you have any hobbies outside of reading?

Not really.

I do sing in a choir, but reading is essentially who I am and you know what that is ok.

What would be your desert island book pick?

It has to be something easy to read and enjoyable.

Either Pride and Prejudice becuase it is simply incredible or Ruby Redfort for the same reason. Can I take both?

Do you have any pets?

Alas no.

I really want a dog though, a lovely big Husky would be ideal but at this point I would settle or anything.

If you could have one 2021 release in your hands right now, what would it be?

I have two (I know that this is cheating sort of).

The Ship of Shadows 2 because I loves the first one so much that I need the second one instantly.

The Inheritance Games 2 because I want to know what happens next, I mean the first one was fall of twists and turns and I want to know where they all lead. Like can it be 2021 already?

My questions

  1. What was your most recent 5 star read?
  2. What is your most anticipated release for 2021?
  3. Do you listen to music while you read? If so, does it have lyrics?
  4. Do you have any pets? If so please add pictures because we all need some cuteness in our lives.
  5. What is the one book that you will never get bored of?
  6. Favourite book of all time (I know, I’m evil)?
  7. Favourite place to read?
  8. Favourite blog post that you have ever written (add a link as well so I can read it)?
  9. What is the prettiest book cover that you own?
  10. What is the biggest book on your TBR?
  11. Why did you start blogging and why did you continue?

  1. Vee
  2. Candyce and Isabelle
  3. Fiona
  4. Pri
  5. Ellie
  6. Danni
  7. Andonshereads
  8. Kate
  9. Lisa
  10. Rosie
